Paging Mr Draper...

How good is Mad Men?  Racism, mysogony and homophobia aside, take me back to a time when men looked like Don Draper, women looked like Joan Harris and it was totally acceptable to drink at work.

One great thing about the show is how it's bought back the styles from the era where glamour and curves reigned supreme!

Some high(street)lights:

This "Kristen Prom Dress" from Portmans is $249.95.   You could totally imagine Betty Draper at the Opera in this dress.  Or smacking the hell out of her kids.

Portmans Cotton Cut Chiffon Crop Cardi $59.95, Jacqui E pencil skirt $99.95, Tony Bianco nude Peep Toe Court Shoe $159.95

All pieces work well on their own and the nude shoes make legs look soooo much longer than they actually are.  My inspiration for this were the poor down-trodden, abused, doe-eyed secretaries at SCDP.

You know what they say about redheads and pink.  No, me neither, but it's something to do with them not working together.

Even so, you can totally imagine all the men's eyes on Joan as she saunters down the middle of the office in this dress.  Just add black platform court shoes and you are good to go.
